#1 eat protien first (very important)

#2 keep carbs low

#3 drink Water or liquids all day long. dont drink and eat at the same time.

#4 no grazing

#5 eat at scheduled times.(if i want dessert i will include

it with my dinner) exp 2 oz meat, 1/4 cup veggie, dessert that means no carbs with my dinner.

#6 excersise excersie and weight training (thanks bean)

it was just a thought i had and i wil try to follow these points not rules, rules suck

Great list. If I can add 2 things....exercise, I mean EXERCISE!!! And I think it's important to distinguish between carbs and starches. I think starches give carbs a bad name. I usually average around 60 carbs a day, but very very few starches. Low glycemic starches are actually quite healthy and help fuel your body though out the day. Early after surgery there may not be room for many carbs, but after time when eating gets easier, some healthy carbs are a good thing to eat.

What do you mean by starches? They are carbs. Are you reffering to potatoes, rice, Pasta, winter squash? Veggies and Beans also have carbs.

Yes, potatoes, rice, Pasta, bread and even corn. They are carbs but they are high glycemic meaning they turn easily to sugar in our bloodstream, causing a rise in insulin levels which aid in fat storage.
