I am always curious what people were eating and their portion sizes are at X many months. I thought I would share my dinner from tonight. I am just about 3 months post op.

I should note this is on a small plate. I put the regular dinner plate under it for reference.

Tonight's dinner is 1/4 of a stuffed chicken, asparagus and one tablespoon of cottage cheese.

I ate most of this with the exception of 1 asparagus and a bite or 2 of chicken.< /p>

Show us what you eat!

Stuffed chicken breast*

Don't worry, it is cooked properly. The pink color is actually a reflection coming through the window from the leaves changing a beautiful orange.

I am like that too sometimes. :) this was a pretty normal sized dinner for me though and dinner is my biggest meal of the day, as I eat at 5:30 and go to bed around 12:30.

I use a salad plate for every meal too. Love the idea of taking pictures of meals. Help to see how it compares. Will do it tomorrow night and post. Meanwhile will keep an eye on here for others. By the way, love your plates!

Don't have a picture for everyone but I combined 1 can of 98% fat free cream of mushroom Soup with 1 package of jimmy dean turkey sausage crumbles, added 1/4 cup of reduced fat cheddar cheese...ate less than two ounces of it, but man was it good! It was like having sausage gravy :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
