Lets face it.. we all where/are fat because.of our bad eating and habits. How "easy" is it postop to be bad... in the eating aspect of things???

The first few months, you really can't go wrong. However let the 5-6th month hit. Then it's really easy to go wrong. Those bad habits can easily creep up on you....

For the first 6 months or so VERY easy to stick to the diet, when eating too much - and too much is like ONE teaspoon too much - you get sick and want to vomit. At 6 months things settle down and you still find it pretty easy to follow the diet, after a year it seems another bump in capacity is typical and then it becomes a tad more difficult to be good. BUT, and that's a BIG but, it is nowhere near as hard pre-op. I remember being famished ALL the time and constantly eating, now I just eat a little too much and I am full. At going on two years I have to watch what I eat still but I do exercise a lot more and have not gained much back, I just bounce up and down a few pounds a few times.

Given the choice I'd rather be this way then the way I was pre-op.

And as usual YMMV.

I find that I can eat anything that I want, but I have defiantly slowed down in weight loss. I just broke a three month stall and lost nine pounds this month so I am thrilled! You can have anything you want, but just don't go overboard. :)

For me, at close to three years out, it can be very easy to slip back into old habits. I am a member of the "everything in moderation" philosophy, so fortunately, I don't run into too many problems. If I want something, I don't deny myself, that only leads to trouble for me. Fortunately, I can have those things I crave, but not go overboard on them because my sleeve is still there for me.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
