So 3 weeks ago I has the band to sleeve revision and so far I'm ok. The only problem I'm having is getting all my liquids down or drinking or eating any Protein. I feel so full once I drink like 3 sips of my shake and that's all I can get down for the rest of the day. My dr said don't worry but I'm weak and can't even exercise because I have no food in my system. Has this happened to anyone else?

I couldn't get much down either. You will be fine. It gets better every day. Just make sure to get the fluids in first, however you can.

yes, I know how that feels like. even know (5weeks post-op) I can't seem to take down all of my required Protein, but don't stress out! drink fluids, don't eat "real" food. kinda starve yourself, but in a good way hahaha, I hope I'm making sense... like for instance: if u get hungry drink cool ice chips, Water, liquids, sugar free popsicles, anything with ice/water!! it helped me a lot, during my first 3-4 weeks I never ate food and I'm now 30 pounds lighter. and my hair has not fallen out. I feel sooo good! :D

best of luck!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
