September Was Your Progress?

Recommended Posts

Okay. so here is the wildest thing. I went to my doctor on October 25 (4 weeks post op) had not lost any weight in 2 weeks. Sooooo disappointed. Went home and continued to walk (2 miles with 5 intervals of slooooow jogging) and watch Water and Protein. This Monday, November 5th, I weighed before working out (now working out about 1 hour before work 30 mins cardio and 20 minutes weights) was down from 313 to 296! I didn't believe it. Got off scales and got back on same results. I asked if scale was right and lady said they weighed her right, maybe even a little heavy. Not sure what happened but am going with it. Sleeved 9/24 and now down total of 49lbs, 27 lbs since surgery. Sooooo happy but still don't know what the heck happened. lol

Congratulations!! You have made it to "TWOTERVILLE"

Sleeved 9/11 starting weight 272.8. Current weight 249.2. I've been fluctuating between 23lbs and 24lbs lost for the past two weeks. I've been struggling to stay positive until I came across this forum. What I've noticed is that we're all different and will lose at different paces. I'm coping much better.

After a 2 week stall I lost 1.5 lbs and now three days later I've gained 3. No reason for that to have happened. Go figure. That's an example of why you shouldn't weigh every day or obsess over numbers.

Lol I do it every morning I don't get to upset. I'm trying to see if there's a pattern to my weight loss :)

Mine is just nuts. I have been recording but lately there seems to be an anti-pattern. I weighed this morning and those same 3 lbs gained are sticking. I did try to throw things off yesterday by upping my calories from 500 to 800 but that wasn't the magic trick. I'm not crying or throwing things, but I wonder what's up. Could be that I haven't had but two poos in 6 weeks.

LOL. I do it every morning too. I say I won't do it anymore, especially when the results are depressing, but I get up the next morning and get right back on it.

I'm just starting my 7th week, so maybe there are somewhat predictable stalls like the 2 week stall, we just haven't all tracked the dates. Someone should work up a spreadsheet!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
