akwitham72 72 Posted October 9, 2012 I am wondering if after my surgery if I will ever be able to enjoy my 12 oz. sugar-free caramel latte w/ 1% milk again or should I get myself used to the idea of staying away from coffee and milk for good? I am okay with wheat and other carbs and even sugar, but my latte will be oh so hard!
iggychic 1,405 Posted October 9, 2012 Go Decaf during your full liquid phase and it's fine.

You do know that doing this puts your tummy at high risk for ulcers. Ulcers in a sleeve means you can lose your stomach.....
Blugirl 42 Posted October 9, 2012 You do know that doing this puts your tummy at high risk for ulcers. Ulcers in a sleeve means you can lose your stomach..... yes! I always drank coffee every morning, and afternoon, and my surgeon said that during endoscopies my tummy looked amazingly healthy, so he told me it was ok! :s
juny 93 Posted October 9, 2012 well i'm not a coffee/latte drinker but i remember a post from someone else who liked them. just Google drink click they do a bunch of coffee/espresso/latte mixes. you might try those if you really need to get a fix.
Frza 194 Posted October 10, 2012 I've been drinking 12oz Decaf soy lattes, about once a week. I don't use flavor or sweetners, but it still feels like a teat (with a bit of Protein & Calcium to boot)!
CaliKat 153 Posted October 10, 2012 my surgeon & nut both said one black cup a day isnt too bad- you may feel too jittery for much more. They also really press that we should try to limit to 2-3 week if you are doing lattes, iced coffee, etc (even FF, skinny, SF, etc because of the carbs). Try (really try) to make Click Protein powder work for you- if not, just offset your latte intake with extra work outs!
hollirrose 249 Posted October 10, 2012 I have seen several posts from coffee lovers making iced coffee and latt's with Protein Powder and coffee. Do a quick search...maybe you will find something you like.
