TapSnap 357 Posted October 9, 2012 Has anyone tried mixing flavorless protien powder with surger free Jello? I am thinkingt about post op when you have to eat soft foods. Not sure if it can be done and havent really looked to hard. but it could be a good idea if it works. Any ideas? anyone try it?
chelbroyer 10 Posted October 9, 2012 I've thought of it too, but have yet to try it. My thing was trying to figure out how to know exactly how much Protein was in each serving. I have the flavorless Isopure powder and thought about trying it out. If I can figure it out or anyone else does, please share!
amykins 202 Posted October 9, 2012 I tried it and it it was gross! I mixed it exactly as they suggested on the Isopure site and there was a film on top of the Jello. I tried to scrape off the film and eat it but just couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. I was only about a week out and it was black cherry which I used to like so maybe it was changing taste buds. I never tried to make it again but if I did I would use half the amount of Protein as they suggested.
Holly5.3 423 Posted October 28, 2012 Me too! Used recipe sent to me from manufacturer (Unjury brand) and threw away two batches-totally unedible! I'll leave my Jello unadulterated by this Protein madness, thank you very much!

lizv123 389 Posted November 2, 2012 Have y'all tried to mix it with the liquid Isopure? Use that instead of the Water they come out much better I love this idea! I hate Jello, and the thought of eating it makes me sick. But if I have a reason to eat it (protein) I can choke it down
socalsleever 17 Posted November 4, 2012 Hi all you Protein Jello seeking fans. Bariatric Advantage makes Soups and jellos that are protein infused. Most servings are 15 grams of protein. They taste great and I am having no problem getting them down two days post op. Good luck on your journey.

Everything's got a weird name I'm interested! Seems like a post op must have
socalsleever 17 Posted November 4, 2012 I mis-spoke. Sorry I thought all of my stuff was made by Bariatric Advantage. Now that I am going through the cupboard, I am realizing that the doctor I am going through sells this under their name. The name of the program is the N.E.W. Program in Costa Mesa , Ca. They may have a site you can order the Jello and Soup through. Truly a life saver.
abetterme4.2 268 Posted November 4, 2012 Although a little pricey, I have tried these and found them to be "decent" just for the mere reason I can not, for the life of me, master Protein Jello with unflavored Protein. I have thrown away 6 batches of these! http://www.gnc.com/pwr/product-reviews/WORLDWIDE-SPORTS/p/4286521-Pure-Protein-reg-Pure-Protein-reg-Protein-Snack-Cherry-Punch.html Close to around $6 for a package of them - GNC. Vitamin shoppe doesn't carry anything similar.
