Supersweetums 1,164 Posted October 9, 2012 So as I was talking to someone else about their weight loss from VSG, I came to an almost profound (to me anyways) realization (2 actually). 1. From my highest weight, I have lost almost 50% of my body weight (appx 48%) 2. For the first time in my ENTIRE life, I do not feel like I need to lose any more weight. I have always felt like I needed to lose more, and I have always been heavy, since Kindergarten. Although it is not perfect, for the first time I feel at peace with my body. Something that I never thought was possible and something that I never thought I would ever feel. 11 desertmom, cantwaittolose, xavtay2 and 8 others reacted to this

Supersweetums 1,164 Posted October 10, 2012 That is wonderful to hear. I love reading your posts. You're a true "thinspiration". Lol. Keep up the posts please! Thanks so much! I never thought I was inspiring until people at support groups were asking my advice. Then I realized that people were looking to me, which felt really strange, and still does! I like that you enjoy my posts. I just try to keep it real! I am normal, I screw up, I sometimes eat things I shouldn't, but I never went into this expecting perfection from myself! 1 enigmachik reacted to this

And it's refreshing that its not all sunshine, rainbows and puppy dogs. No one that I have talked to at my classes have heard of this site. I'm trying to get the word out because let's face it...once a month support group meetings just doesn't cut it for most people. We need more info, more support and something to experience that helps time to fly by as we all wait for our turns robe sleeved. So again, thanks! You and this site are very important to my journey. Someday I hope to help others as well.
