Mrz.LaWSOn 9 Posted October 9, 2012 I'm one day post op and when I drink anything I feel a pain in my new tummy that goes away after a couple seconds... is this normal?
Tealover 46 Posted October 9, 2012 Yep, just sip and don't gulp for a bit.
enigmachik 403 Posted October 9, 2012 Yes, try just taking teeny tiny baby sips for now. After the swelling in your tummy goes down you'll be able to take bigger sips.
desertmom 297 Posted October 9, 2012 Yes,I felt like that too.To me it was almost like a tiny contraction pain.It only lasted a few days but I had to take 5 ml in my mouth at a time and let it run to the back of my throat over my teeth before I swallowed it for it not to hurt.(that is a strange way to describe it but thats exactly what I did)Tiny sips. It does get better though.Hang in there!

Tealover 46 Posted October 9, 2012 We've all been there. I can gulp again now. Took a few months though
tabithad 20 Posted October 9, 2012 Yes I was sleeved on Oct 3rd, and I still get those pains. I find taking a deep breath as the pain starts helps relieve it and gets the gas out.
amykins 202 Posted October 9, 2012 Yep. Take a break between sips. If it helps, drink from a teaspoon to see how small that sip should be. It will get easier in a couple of days.
