NDN_RN 527 Posted October 9, 2012 I am six days out and still on Clears until Thursday. I noticed today as i was wiping that I felt a bit irritated. I remembered that odor bread had as it's rising with yeast before you bake it, yep i think it's a yeast infection. I have not had one of those in years. Is this common post op? Done Did It! desertmom 297 Posted October 9, 2012 Are you taking an antibiotic post op?I got thrush in my mouth post op but I was taking antibiotics for 10 days post op.Do get some meds for the thrush but start taking some sort of live culture (pills you can open and take directly on your tongue if you are not eating yet.)There is also drinking yogurt with live cultures in them that should help. chitowngirl 886 Posted October 11, 2012 Yes it is common. They do pump you full of antibiotics in the hospital, so with one goes the other. I would just give your surgeon a call and ask them to call you in some diflucan. I swear by that stuff one pill and I'm done.
