Thank you for all the loving relies. It is a true joy to hear the encouragment. I still have a ways to go but I'm looking at this new year as a new begining to continue to stay in the good habits, as much as possible.

Bless all of you. This is a picture that my DD put together for me last month. I don't know how it will post so thats why I didn't put it on the picture thread.

I am off to New Mexico for 10 days (leaving tomorrow night). I went to buy pants for the trip and guess what????? I bought a size 12!!! They are a little snug but they fit well. I am so happy with my weight loss. Yes, i have had the pain of a "too tight" band and the fear of a too loose band (gained back 12 lbs at one point) but overall..................I'm with you partner, we are doin' this!!!

WTG DARLA!

Reflection is awesome isn't it. It's like starting over again. I'd like to lose another 50 but I'm not in a rush cause I'm very happy the way things are going!

I am only beginning my journey and you are an inspiration. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your journey. Your words gave the the idea to start my our journal, starting with why I want the surgery. I attend my 1st seminar on the 19th of this month and am hoping and praying I will be able to have the surgery. Again-Thanks! :clap2:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
