Brandy W 1 Posted October 8, 2012 Hi all... I'm new to the forum, I hunted a talk group down to find out if anyone else has had the same problem. I'm 2 1/2 months out from my sleeve. I lost 48 lbs in the first 2 months. I haven't gained any weight the last 2 weeks, but I also haven't lost any. I've been very bad at getting in my 64 oz of Water, and I haven't been taking my Protein shakes like I was because the milk doesn't like me. Has anyone had the same problem of getting stuck? I've just started over the last couple of days thinking that it has to do with maybe my body hoarding Water since I haven't been drinking enough, or even getting enough Protein if my body needs it to get my metabolism going. Thanks!
MG in SD 75 Posted October 8, 2012 Yeah, I have had a 2 week stall before. It sucked but I got over it and started losing agian. Just get back to basics with your eating, fluids, and Protein. It also helps to work out if your not. That always helps me to break a stall. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
Pookeyism 1,143 Posted October 8, 2012 Stalls are common, there is alot more going on than just weight loss, and a lot more that can be retained other than fat. Drink your Water in any way you can - Jello, popcicles, flavored water. Get a protien drink that does not require milk and is lactose free - unjury is a good choice in my opinion, or look for a grocery store that carries Mootopia (HEP and Central Market does here) it is a 1/2 sugars, lactose free, protien enriched milk. Get in some form of exercize daily - see if you can't find something you enjoy, if you don't like the gym. sleep - on a regular schedule, it is more inportant to this process than alot of people realize...people with irregular sleep patterns, sleep disorders, etc. are more likely to be overweight, less likely yo lose, and much less likely to keep it off. Get a tshirt that is tight, and try it on, and put it away for a couple of weeks, and then try it back on. even if you do not lose it will fit better - you lose inches even when you do not lose pounds. Strangefruit 179 Posted October 13, 2012 Oh my... I thought at first you were saying you had the surgery 2 1/2 months ago and hadn't lost ANYTHING... but just the last couple of weeks? From what I understand, a stall, or plateau is normal... Are you exercising?
