Pain - is it reflux or gallbladder?

This has happened about 4 times and three of them in the middle of the night. I get this tight, burning in my sternum and back - it radiates, feels better if I stand up and almost gets tight in my jaw. Lasts for maybe 5-10 minutes then goes away. A few weeks inbetween episodes.

I had my gallbladder out on Saturday. It sounds like reflux to me, but I would still talk to my doctor. GOodluck!

I'm meeting with a surgeon tomorrow to have mine out. It sounds to me like you have reflux. My gallbladder episodes last for hours and nothing, standing included, makes it feel better.

I had my gallbladder out a few months ago. Standing didn't help and the attacks lasted for quite a while. I have also developed reflux and it sounds pretty much like what you are experiencing. Could you be too tight? My reflux developed after a tight fill and hasn't really gone away yet. (even after a complete UN-fill) Call the doctor and have them check you out or get a referral to a gastro doctor.
