Todays Lunch (And Dinner)

Smoked turkey leg & collard greens.

If that ain't good eatin' I don't know what is.

Pre-op it would have also had Mac-n-cheese & a couple rolls. And it would have all been 1 meal.

(after lunch & dinner somebodies dog will likely get a bone with about 1/3 of the meat left on it.

Looks yummy. I had one of those turkey legs at Disneyland. Man, they are good.

Just curious ... how much of that will you eat and how long will it take you to eat it?

That does look good!

I love greens, any kind.

Good choice for lunch and dinner!

O.T.R- I see you with your collard greens. Do the veggies feel good on your tummy? And When did they start feeling good on your tummy or was you always able to eat them after surgery? I was always a veggie eater before surgery, but now they make me feel nauseated like my tummy is doing flips. meats are the only things I can handle, except for BBQ.

I'm still on pureed for another week, but my lunch was still yummy! I had about a 1/4 cup of pulled pork with some broth pureed, and a couple of bites of black-eyed peas pureed.

I ate about 1/4 of the leg & about 1/3 of the greens in about 1/2hr. I'm expecting about the same for dinner. The rest will make somebodies dog very happy

I'll see your turkey leg and greens, and I raise you sirloin skewers and asparagus.

I haven't tried a veggie yet since before prop diet. How do they sit compared to meat with the sleeve. Yeah, meat and cheese are already getting boring.

I was doing softer raw veggies(squash) at about 4weeks. I progressed and got to harder stuff at about 8-10 weeks. Cooked veggies are really a rarity for me. They do cause a bit of gas, but they've always done that.

I love me some greens and vinegar, yum! I can eat veggies, raw or cooked no problem. For lunch I had about 3 oz of steak and some grilled squash.

BTB...I had forgotten about skewers! Whoop-di-do...I'll be adding that to my reportoire!! Love the steak and veggies, but also love cajun spiced shrimp skewers!

OTR...are your routes nationwide or are you traveling in the south? Don't often see smoked turkey legs and greens readily available here in Los Angeles.....My brother drives a big rig from his home base in Dothan, Alabama and he would love that meal and he's not even sleeved.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
