Discovered Something About Stalls

Recommended Posts

At the end of a stall, the skin and about an inch down becomes soft and "loose". Perhaps someone has a more scientific description of the process. The next couple days the stall ends and the weight begins to drop again.

They do suck because you don't have the satisfaction of seeing lower numbers, But I have noticed my clothes stilll become more lose during a stall...

I have not experienced a "stall" as of yet. I am getting ready to start week 6 post op. I have noticed that after week 3 my weight loss slowed dramatically (1-2 lbs/week) I have lost a total of 27.7 lbs as of last weeks weigh in. I am terrified I'm going to hit a stall and already feel like the weight loss is slow! Agh

I hate stalls. Had the first one as expected but I'm out.

BTW- I keep waiting to tell you I love your profile pic. Springer?

I've decided that I'm not ever going to call them "stalls" again. From now on they are to be known as "Adjustment Periods"....because that is, essentially, what they are. We lose weight so quickly, and then our bodies need a bit of time to adjust to the new reality of things. During my "Adjustment Periods" I typically lose inches...which I don't do while I'm in a rapid weight loss phase. In the end its all good....lose weight, lose inches....get healthy!! :)

All the best,

Laura

Be ready, I didn't get my first stall till I was 3 months out. Then, I spent 3weeks at 210 and this makes my second week at 205. Good thing for me I'm a very optimistic person. And I've spent enough time on this forum to know that this won't last forever(even though it does feel like it).

Oh boy, if 1 pound feels slow, I can't imagine 2 weeks at the same during my honeymoon stage. Ha! It will get better.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
