suzqlvq 15 Posted October 8, 2012 Hi There, I need some advice here. I am 6 days post op and I am able to drink more than the tiny sips now so I am doing that. I just realized the maybe this is a mistake and I could get a leak. I do not gulp but when I drink it is a somewhat normal size drink and not small sips. I hope I didn't cause damage and may get a leak. Also my back of the calfs hurt. Does anyone else get this? I worry about a blood clot although I am walking. Tomorrow is 7 days post op and I was curious if I am ok to try applesauce, refried Beans, cream Soups? I tried a popsicle yesterday and it hurt my pouch. Got bad muscle spasms so I guess I am not ready for that. I don't have a fever or anything but just wondered if it is possible to get a leak from too much liquid? Thanks all for any input. cherrybombknits 184 Posted October 8, 2012 I am 4 days out and being able to take more than a tiny sip at a time has been lovely. You would have to do some serious gulping to damage your new stomach. If you're having trouble with ice pops I wouldn't progress to solids so quickly. Call your dr about your pain and progressing your diet.

suzqlvq 15 Posted October 9, 2012 Thank you all for your reply's. Called Doctor last night and had to have an ultrasound to rule out blood clot. Thank Goodness it was negative and all is well. Glad I listened to your advice. Better safe than sorry. 1 cherrybombknits reacted to this
