cherrybombknits 184 Posted October 9, 2012 Right outside my hospital room on my walking route was one of those industrial scales with handrails and everything. I was kind of expecting it, but it was harsh learning that I'd gained six pounds in a few hours. I wish they would have put that scale somewhere else; I hopped on that darn scale EVERY TIME I went walking. I am still in quite a bit of pain, but it's controllable with the liquid codeine. Drinking and getting my Protein in and just tons of walking. I haven't been hungry yet though, I only drink my shakes because my husband's on my rump to get my Protein in. Is it silly to worry about not being hungry?
keda 56 Posted October 9, 2012 Make that sleeve quadruplets. I was told to expect a 10-12 pound weight gain after surgery. I'm very thankful that that didn't happen to me. I'm down 8 pounds so far' date=' but I have a feeling that starting tomorrow it will slow down because I'm starting my full liquids.[/quote'] Do they weigh you right after surgery ? meremb 12 Posted October 9, 2012 I've been on full fluids since yesterday and have lost 8 lbs post op (sleeved 10/3) I definitely gained weight after the surgery because of the gas, fluids, bed rest, and no bm. After you release the gas and pee out all the fluids, and start walking, the weight begins to come off. I think all 8 lbs came off of my neck and face.
