Debbie5383 0 Posted October 7, 2012 I too had a lot of nausea. It faded through time. I was unhappy for a few weeks and thought "What the heck did I just do!" I am extatic now and have absolutely no regrets! Hang in there and It will get better as all the swelling goes down and your body adjusts! It also gets a little better as you advance your diet! Debbie5383 0 Posted October 7, 2012 I misunderstood...you are pre op! Sorry. if it is not the flu (tis the season) it is probably stress and nerves.

ladyhummingbird 13 Posted October 7, 2012 hi, Hate to say this but if you've got an active bug going....it is not the time for surgery. Definately let your doctor (who is probably not going to care) and your anesthetist know (who will care). Depending on your health status and how sick you are they will decide if you should procede or may leave it up to you if you are not too bad. I'm a nurse anesthetist and this is generally what we see or do. I don't recommend to my patients being put under general anesthesia if they have a active bug....but just see how you do sunday and monday am. Good luck and hopefully its nothing. dmadrid 2 Posted October 7, 2012 Thanks I'll call my Dr. Tomorrow this stuffy noise thing has been going on since Wednesday I have a really good immune system. I think I'm letting my mind think to much. I have waited to long for this surgery, to let this stuffy noise stop me know:)
Sleevealicious 43 Posted October 7, 2012 Same thing happened to me. I got a full blown cold the night before surgery. I thought they would turn me away once I got to the operating room the next morning... Nope! They said since I didn't have a fever it was up to me . I figured since I was already there I would just go for it. Everything went fine with the anesthesia. However... Even though I followed all the food rules I did end up back in the hospital 2 weeks later with a leak and abscess. I'm sure this was totally unrelated, but sometimes I wonder since none of the doctors could tell me what caused the leak. But I am probably just grasping at straws trying to figure out "why me?" I'll probably never know Anyway, Sorry if I scared you! Just rambling on late at night. I am sure that everything will go fine . Definitely be sure to talk to your anesthesiologist! I hope you feel better! Good luck!!
