Fiddleman 4,376 Posted October 6, 2012 Have others realized heighten senses, especially related to taste and smell? It could be related to not eating sugar. My sense of smell is really alive post-op. for example, my wife made s one snicker doodle Cookies last night ( for her of course). The smell of cinnamon and sugar was almost overwhelming all over the house ( 2500 square feet). It was really a heavenly experience. Everything tastes much better, especially savory foods like chicken tikka or masala. food is so much more pleasurable then pre-op.
Tealover 46 Posted October 6, 2012 Yes but not in a good way! I can't stand garlic on people's breathe now! 1 lessofmeismore reacted to this
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted October 6, 2012 LOL, Yup I feel like a dog now. I could find someone lost by their scent. Not always a good thing. --__-- 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

Scottishlassie 35 Posted October 6, 2012 Oh my god yes! Everything smells so much stronger and my sleeve doesn't like it! My kids were eating crackers and cheese and I had to leave the room. The smell of the cheese was so powerful. It reminded me of being pregnant! Hope that settles down....? #onedayiwillbeslim SD - October 4th 2012
