pcos_chick 23 Posted October 5, 2012 I'm 19 months post op, loving life. Still taking Biotin. My hair loss was considerable and my new growth is more than 4 inches in. I wondering when I can stop taking my Biotin supplement. Never had nail issues, just the Hair loss and it came back pretty quickly (relatively I suppose.) On top of helping bringing my hair back (yay) it also seems to have effected the speed at which other body hair grows and I'm hoping that when I stop the biotin I won't have to shave my legs every darn day again. PdxMan 4,292 Posted October 5, 2012 Mine started going at the 6 month mark. I thought I was all clear. Getting in excess of recommended Protein, taking Biotin, Calcium, Multi-Vitamin, had my calories up to about 1,500. Nope It didn't come out in clumps. It was a thinning thing. Wash my hair and my hands were fuzzy. My hair was always very short, but thick enough you couldn't really see my scalp. When seeing the scalp was obvious, I set the shaver to #1 and buzzed it off. chrysler 16 Posted October 10, 2012 where do you purchase Biotin or is it prescribed? Mine is coming out now 4 months after sleeve. Its been a month of Hair loss, like shedding excessively.
