meremb 12 Posted October 4, 2012 congrats!!! my mouth didn't really feel that dry but they let me brush my teeth as long as I didn't swallow any Water Lucky... The dry mouth is a worse feeling than the pain I feel from the drainage no matter how much Water I swish with, it becomes dry within 10 minutes. Tomorrow is a new day though
meremb 12 Posted October 4, 2012 @wishfulsimee When did your pain start to subside. I'm wondering if I will be able to babysit on Saturday evening? I don't have to pick up any children, etc... Basically sitting on the couch. What are your thoughts??

frombandtusleeve 0 Posted October 4, 2012 Hi ,im new to this , wow it feels like therapy. I had my sleeve on 1 October & today is 4 th October , and should be leaving hospital tomorrow. Im having a hard time getting Water down , & the smooth yoghurt drinks too . It feels so tight in the chest , front & back, a little discomfort on my left insicion, and very week. The night of surgery was the worst night of my life dry heaving , & throwing up black dried blood Which apparently is perferctly normal. The nausea was due to to the pain medication , then the next day as soon as i sat up or woke up i had rediculous hic ups !! Stange !! So apart from weekness , and the tight pressure after drinking about 1 ml , thats all the discomfort i have now . Im positive and look foreward to drooping those stubborn kilos Thanks for reading X

I only had one instance with nausea when I first sat on the bed dangling my feet. They gave me Zofran and it went away almost immediately. I'm wondering if your having these issues because you had the lap band first? Did your doctor say anything to you? I hope your recovery gets better ASAP
