haragl 26 Posted October 3, 2012 My surgery date was Sept 24. I have done really well, never took any pain or nausea meds. I am now 9 days post op. My doctor has me on full liguids till Oct 11, then pureed for 2 weeks then soft for 2 weeks. I am allowed cream of wheat, which I hate, so I substituted grits. It was wonderful! My questions is this..I ate the grits at around 3:30 pm yeasterday. I still feel full and dont want anything to eat and its almost 4 pm the next day. I have had one Protein Shake today (love the Carb control by Slimfast 20 gms Protein and only 2 net carbs) and don't have desire for anything else. Has anyone else experienced same? Also sort of down today. sleeping more and not wanting to walk.. I am up to 2 miles split up into 1 mile at a time. Thanks for any help you can give me. Before 50 20 Posted October 3, 2012 If you drink your between meal liquids (water) I find it helps take the fullness away because liquids pass through the sleeve quickly and will not make you feel full. It works for me and I am 20 days post op.
2bsleeved 0 Posted October 3, 2012 Hey I was sleeved Sept 25th. I'm still trying to figure out the fullness thing. I have been able to eat or drink about 3 ounces and then I get a tightness feeling so I guess that's the full feeling. I too have had the feeling of not wanting to eat, but I know how important it is to do it. Drink your Water, just 2 oz. at a time and see if that doesn't help. You need your Protein or you are going to feel like crap. Good luck
