mariecarmen 1 Posted September 30, 2006 I am seriously craving real food. I did the 5 days of water/tea/Crystal Light/dilute applejuice and now am on 3 Protein shakes/day till 10/10. I'm having more and more trouble getting the sweet taste down. I went to the store and got individual packets of 15 different brands/flavors (big choice--chocolate, plain, vanilla, strawberry and one that says GREENS). The nectar flavors of lemonade and berry are a little easier, but I'm really craving something salty and spicy. I'm not missing chewing, just something other than sweet. I never was a big sweet eater before. Anyone with similar problems, anyone with advice?
Wheezy 0 Posted September 30, 2006 I am also not a sweet eater. Pre-op diet for me was 3 Protein shakes and 1 meal of vegetables per day. It was the vegetables that saved me. Post-op I had a real hard time. All of the meds (gasX, liquid codeine, liquid tylenol, vitamins) clear juices were all so sweet and after a few days, I was disgusted with sugar!!! Hang in there it's not forever and if could do it anyone can!
GayleTX 1 Posted September 30, 2006 A little can of V-8 helps me when I'm in that mood. And when you get to where you can eat more, the Revival Soy chips (esp.the BBQ flavor) really are good. You are off to a great start.....look at those ticker numbers!!
