I just received a message from my PCP at Kaiser and he's referred me to a surgeon to remove my gallbladder. I'm confused because I have no pain or sxs. They did an ultra sound and I guess they found some. I'm wondering if there's other treatments that will prevent gallstones or dissolve them?

I am scheduled for gallbladder surgery Oct 17th. I don't have stones yet, but have sludge and pain. I have checked with 3 doctors and surgery is the only answer. good luck!

Actigal is a medicine that can help... But you might as well get it removed before the pain starts. It is unbearable!

I'm surprised they didn't take it out when you had surgery. I am one of the few that still develops gallstones and I had my gallbladder removed five or six years ago. But did feel much better after it was taken out. But my luck I still develop the stones. Go figure. Hope you feel better soon. Big Hugs....

Thank you everyone. For some reason I'm more afraid about having this surgery than I was about getting sleeved. That means I will have an additional 5 go 6 incision cites. Wow, what is my stomach going to look like, "a shooting range?" LOL :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
