Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted October 3, 2012 I just received a message from my PCP at Kaiser and he's referred me to a surgeon to remove my gallbladder. I'm confused because I have no pain or sxs. They did an ultra sound and I guess they found some. I'm wondering if there's other treatments that will prevent gallstones or dissolve them?
Csandegren 2 Posted October 5, 2012 I am scheduled for gallbladder surgery Oct 17th. I don't have stones yet, but have sludge and pain. I have checked with 3 doctors and surgery is the only answer. good luck! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
kmbrlycool 214 Posted October 5, 2012 Actigal is a medicine that can help... But you might as well get it removed before the pain starts. It is unbearable! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
myafternoondesires 5 Posted October 5, 2012 I'm surprised they didn't take it out when you had surgery. I am one of the few that still develops gallstones and I had my gallbladder removed five or six years ago. But did feel much better after it was taken out. But my luck I still develop the stones. Go figure. Hope you feel better soon. Big Hugs.... 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted October 5, 2012 Thank you everyone. For some reason I'm more afraid about having this surgery than I was about getting sleeved. That means I will have an additional 5 go 6 incision cites. Wow, what is my stomach going to look like, "a shooting range?" LOL
