yes. do I suggest going to the movies and ordering a big ol tub of buttery love? No. popcorn does have some nutritional value but it is also a slider food. It is easy to consume a lot because it dissolves into goo. there are at least a few more popcorn threads on here. do a search for more suggestions.

I took my kids on day 13 to a Pro soccer game. My daughter got a big bucket. I ate a handful.... Would have eaten half the bucket before, lol. It was delish and I personally, had no issue with it. We all react differently to different foods, but I plan on eating it here and there down the road.. However, do note, I am one of those who have had no pain and ease with liquids and foods..

I am seven weeks out and have had air popped popcorn a few times with no issues at all. It's really not that bad for you if you are selective in how you prepare it.

popcorn is one of my favorite Snacks (pre and post op). I don't have problems eating it, but it is a slider.

I have relegated it to a "family" food. I won't make popcorn for just me anymore. I make it and share. If I don't share, I will end up eating too much, which isn't good for me.

I will say that I had stalled from May to September. In September, I started losing again, and I have made it a point not to snack so much on carbs. It seems to be working, which is a reason not to have popcorn. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
