SleeveShelly 75 Posted October 1, 2012 Does the sugar in fresh fruit slow your weight loss like other sugars??
ozeedonkee 145 Posted October 1, 2012 I believe so. Not all fruits are created equal with regard to how much sugar they contain.
fluffylibra30 323 Posted October 1, 2012 You need some fresh fruits in your diet! If you are worried about carbs get fruit from the low end of the glycemic index! Blackberries, cranberries are low. Strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, honeydo, apples are all mediums. But really. As long as you are eating fresh foods I wouldn't worry so much about sugars. It's when you start eating Cookies, donuts all the "bad" foods would I worry about sugars!
doxieville 799 Posted October 1, 2012 You do need to be careful. The sugars can add up, even if its 'good sugar.' Are you losing weight ok? If so, go ahead and add some fruit. If your weight loss stops (and you aren't in a 'body readjusting stall' where you are still losing inches) then make sure you aren't eating too many sugars from your fruit. My Fitness pal is really a great way to track your intake.
