Being on a full liquid diet since surgery on 9/24, is it normal that I haven't gone #2?? I don't feel constipated but I'm wondering what exactly should be happening and when??

I had mine on the 26th. And had a bowel movement two days later. It was all liquid coming out. I have yet to have a solid bowel movement yet.

My surgeon said it could take 5-7 days for a post op BM. If longer than 7 days he said use a Fleets enema because nothing you take by mouth at that point will do any good. I finally went at 5 days post op.

Took me about 9 days after surgery to go and it was painful..... still not as regular as I was prior to surgery. I purchased some Smooth Move Herbal Tea and need to be diligent in drinking it each evening.... It definitely works and is all natural!!

It was approx 2 weeks postop before I had my first. Everybody is different so hang in there!

I had to take Senokot Xtra to help me along tho.
