Getting There 198 Posted September 30, 2012 I started pureed foods today. After a few SMALL bites, I fill full enough and stop. You can add evaporated skim milk to many things to add calories (though I haven't been too concerned about calories yet - I'm focusing on Protein and Fluid intake). Isopure Zero Carb is an easy way to get in 160 calories, 40 grams of Protein and 20 oz Fluid. Good luck!
Donedeal091212 5 Posted September 30, 2012 It's not until u start the next phase of food when u actually chew it. That's when u will feel it. When I was on mushy food I stuck to about 1/4-1/2 cup of food. But I added unflavored Protein Powder to it seems to have made me feel more satisfied. Even though I was not full. But I know that first meal I felt it FULL!!! I was very excited.
Skittle 26 Posted September 30, 2012 It was tough for me to tell when I was full even after I started on solid foods. It would take 1 bite that would hurt for me to stop. I have finally figured out that when I start having very very small burps or start hiccuping that I know to stop. Yes a weird signal but I've heard several people on here say the same thing. From time to time I get the burps a little sooner than I think I should and try a few more bites.. But that's when it starts to hurt again so I trust the burps lol. It kinda feels like bubbles trying to escape. Hope this helps 1 Getting There reacted to this
