LA chula27 0 Posted September 28, 2006 I just went my dentist today because my face is swollen, so she takes an x-ray and she then tells me that i have a tooth absces (if im spelling it right:rolleyes )i have an inffection. And my surgery is scheduled for 10-12-06, i told her about my surgery and she said they wont do surgery if have an infection.OMG im fricking out, she said to take penicillin and to call her on monday and let her know if my swelling went down or not.. if not she will have to drain my tooth...:think im stressed out. has this ever happened to any of you guys? beachgirl 2 Posted September 29, 2006 I've had the tooth abcess and it is sooo painful. IF I were you I would tell them you wanted the daily shots of antibiotics and you will get better lottts faster than pills. This may be the difference in surgery or not. shell04937 0 Posted September 29, 2006 I was told I had a UTI 1 week prior to my surgery and that unless it was gone and I was done the anti biotics by then, then they would cancle the surgery. I would call your surgen and ask them what anti biotics they think you should be on. They may call your dentist for you and push things along.
