Pete53 0 Posted September 28, 2006 Went to see Cardio Doc today and although checkup is good and some adjustments in meds he said I have an issue. My angioplasty on September 13th used the old type of stent metal that requires intensive therapy of plavix a blood thinner and this will put me in the penalty box for at least 6 months. I guess that I will just have to tough it out. I am not giving up on this. He also assured me that probably in 4 months he will be able to make a decision to proceed or wait longer. He said once stable he could stop plavix and use something injectable to stop bleeding so I can have the lap band surgery done.
LapBandit 5 Posted September 28, 2006 I'm sorry to hear that you've hit a road block but I'm glad that you are not giving up. You can use this time to practice your future bandster lifestyle and I bet you'll start losing weight too. Why wait for surgery...you can be an honorary bandster today! You'll get there!
