prettysleeved1 173 Posted September 30, 2012 At about 8 weeks post-op, I had some PF Chang's and it wasn't a big challenge for me. Then again, I'm not a noodle or rice person. My big thing is sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. I looked up the nutrition info before hand so I knew exactly how much I could eat without doing any harm. I'd say the main thing is to prepared. Make sure you are cleared to eat the foods and then plan how you'll handle it. Also, there are pretty decent Chinese food recipes online that can be modified to suit your particular diet. But, yeah, stay away from buffets because the concept of buffets is just nasty. AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted September 30, 2012 But... Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels You'll get over it! Well I'm not looking to be skinny! Just healthy... Lol! And yes, I will get over it. I'd probably stay away completely. I don't want to risk overeating... Chinese coming back up is FOUL! Amanda Rae
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted September 30, 2012 I still love Chinese buffets. I use them differently now though. I use them as take out. I can get only what I want & pay for only what I will eat. 2 AStephenson and BKMama reacted to this
Mr_Worm 129 Posted September 30, 2012 Eventhough I haven't went to one post op cause mentally I know I wouldn't get my monies worth, if I DID go to one I'd eat the lean meats like crab legs and chicken teryaki I've decided...
AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted September 30, 2012 Knowing me like I do, I'd have to pass all together on buffet but I do enjoy making Asian cuisine at home. Amanda Rae

It's so funny, they get so annoyed when I come get lunch for less than $4. :-)
AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted September 30, 2012 Of course I suffer eating it now, so I doubt it will be better then!

AmandaRaeLeo 2,146 Posted October 6, 2012 Post op' date=' stay away from buffets!!![/quote'] Lol! I'm staying away pre-op too! Trying to drop 50 lbs by March to lower my BMI, my risk, and my cost. Amanda Rae
julielle 199 Posted October 6, 2012 I was in Vegas last week and thinking about this while filling my plate at the Bellagio buffet (Mmm it was GOOD!). Post op would I eat there again? I think so, because even though I'd only be having tiny portions, variety is nice and being able to eat a bite of this and a bite of that is great too. kshepa 77 Posted October 6, 2012 I organized a work birthday party this month and we are going to The Spa Casino seafood buffet (majority choice)...that's ok, but I'll never eat my 24.00 worth, I'm just chalking it up to being with friends and not about the food. I'll eat what I can and enjoy the night with my friends I guess that's worth the price. And I might even win back my 24.00 in the casino if I'm lucky!!! julielle 199 Posted October 6, 2012 And I might even win back my 24.00 in the casino if I'm lucky!!! Hah, I'm thinking it more likely that your 24$ meal will become a 50$ meal
hollirrose 249 Posted October 14, 2012 I go to panda express and order the kids meal when I have a hankering for chinese. The kids meal is under $5 bucks and there are a few low carb options. I always get the vegs and not the rice. I get about three meals out of it. Total value and kills the craving. Look online at the nutritional info....there really are options to fit into our eating plan. 1 lil lee reacted to this
