As far as I can tell, that is a stage that most people go through. For me, it lasted only a day. Then I bucked up and got with the program.

Wish I could tell you that tomorrow will be dramatically different, but I would lie. Each day is a better day.

Remember no one promised this would be easy, but the results are totally worth it...that I can promise.

Hugs. No regrets, I love my sleeve!

Congrats on being sleeved! I'm sure it gets better like everyone on this forum says. I am looking forward to being sleeved in a couple weeks myself. Also your username is so close to the one I was originally going to choose, anewme912!

You'll be loving it soon, when the weight starts dropping off. Also beware of "head hunger".

I got sleeved 9/24. It has been very hard. I have had trouble with everything I eat so when I watch my family grub on something yummy, Ido get a little bummed. I know it's early yet so I will have to wait to see results. I think when I do, that is when it will be worth it. I have to remind myself that none said this was easy!!! Good luck to u!

Before the surgery, I would excuse myself from the room or the entire house so that I wouldn't have to smell the food or watch them eat it. I just keep telling myself that one day I will eat most foods again, just much smaller portions.

Yes I have to excuse myself too. It's funny I have been dreaming of food too. I had a dream I was baking a big batch of chocolate chip Cookies and I could not get to the cookie dough to taste it. Pretty sad!!!

While having my Premier Protein, I cooked blueberry pancakes, bacon, hash browns, eggs, and muffins for the family. I just don't sit down. I keep moving, serving, cleaning, etc. now that the teens and grandma are fed, I am enjoying a cup of blueberry herbal tea in peace. I am 1 week post-op and not hungry yet. In a matter of weeks I will be having an egg with them. I just keep telling myself this stage will be over soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
