Weight Update For August 13 Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

HOW MUCH HAVE YOU LOSE? WHAT ARE U EATING? ARE YOU EXERCISING? ATTACH PICTURES!

I was sleeved on August13, start weight 316 and now 274! I eat chicken and fish baked, salad, Veggies, eggs, Water and no Protein shakes, they make me sick. Next week I'm starting back on my shakes and try to knock this weight stall out. I work out 3-4 times a week and I love my sleeve! How about you?

That's awesome! Congratulations! I don't have any pictures to post yet. I started at 258 and am now 211. I just this week lost 3 lbs after nearly a 3 week stall. I'm pretty much eating whatever I want, but just a bite or two. Much more than that I end up feeling sick. I have to drink a Protein Shake each day just to meet my Protein. I ended up getting two liters of IV fluids at my six week check up because I was dehydrated. It's a huge struggle to get my fluids in. Have to say that I love my sleeve too, despite any discomfort it may be giving me right now. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations!!!

I was sleeved in July and am down 112 pounds! My sixth month surgiversary is on the 19th and I plan to post pictures that day.

I work out 4-6 days a week and have fallen in love with Water classes; Water aerobics being my favorite. I LOVE going to the gym now versus pre-op. I have much more confidence and I always look forward to see the scale drop. The joys of the new me

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
