I had my sleeve on July 7th 2012 I started my journey weighing 280 pounds I was struggling to fit into a size 46 in waist pants I decided I was not going to buy bigger clothes my shirt size was 2XL

Here I am almost 3 months out I now weigh 195 pounds I wear a 33 inch waist pants and can wear a med or Lg shirt my blood pressure is back to normal no blood pressure meds I have more energy than I have had in many years

My goal weight for myself was set at 180 but would like to get to 165-170 I am getting close to my goal of 180

I ate my Protein drank plenty of Water I stayed away from the sweets and high carbs however I did not deprive myself of any just tried to stay away from them.

Remember it is a lifestyle change not a diet if I wanted something I ate it but in small amounts and only on occasion

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
