scorpion509 107 Posted September 27, 2012 Guys, I notice that after surgery I sometime woke up in the morning from the leg cramps. the pain is bad and I need to massage my leg for 5-7 min and try to walk on it before it goes away. First I think it is cold and this is reaction to it. but it wasn't cold at all today and I wake up again with leg cramp, Does anyone has the same issue? what to do with it? Should I worry and call the doctor? 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
ChristineS NY 44 Posted September 27, 2012 I experienced the same right after surgery. I was told to drink more Water. You can also possibly be lacking potassium.
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted September 27, 2012 Try drinking some coconut Water. Great low cal source for potassium. Just dont get the sweetened stuff. 1 IsB reacted to this
scorpion509 107 Posted September 27, 2012 I checked the coconut Water it has the lowest 11g of sugar. Is it ok to drink?
takroom 192 Posted September 27, 2012 I had leg cramps the first 2 weeks. My Dr said completely normal. It's from the gases & position they put you in from surgery. I am 3 weeks post op & my leg cramps sent away. Take a Tylenol, it will help.
scorpion509 107 Posted September 27, 2012 Tomorrow I would be 4 weeks post op. So look like it takes much longer for me

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted September 27, 2012 I would really watch for dehydration. You might also try adding a little gatorade low cal for the electrolytes and stuff. I would also give your surgeon's office a call. It wouldn't hurt.
AKSleever 57 Posted September 27, 2012 I notice that if I don't drink enough Water then I wake with some minor leg cramps and then I really up the liquids that day! It usually happens to me when I have changed things up to continue my weight loss!
