Isabel'sGma 18 Posted September 26, 2012 I believe at 4 months post op you should actually be at 800-1200 calories. My nut put me on 1200-1500 calories about 4 months out.
Katie713 423 Posted September 26, 2012 I am 5 months out and consuming about 1000 calories, 50 grams of carbs or less, 65-70 grams of Protein.< /p>
GrammyK 11 Posted September 26, 2012 At 4 months out my Dr. said I should be doing 1000-1200 calories daily. I'm 5 1/2 months now and doing about 900-1000. If I eat more than that, I don't lose the weight. I'm a very slow loser and I'm losing, if I am lucky, about 1/2 to 1 lb a week now. Hope this helps!
mdefabio 73 Posted September 26, 2012 I'm 2 1/2 months out and I try to stay between 800 - 900 calories. I think you're not losing because your caloric intake is too low. 1 SensationallySassyT reacted to this
It's all new 453 Posted September 26, 2012 I'm 4+ months out and eat around 700 calories per day. I thought the range for the losing phase was 600-800? I'm not sure that there is a right answer.
Isabel'sGma 18 Posted September 26, 2012 It's All New - I think you hit the nail on the head. there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. When I talked to my NUT, I was really frustated because I was having huge stalls that made no sense. She asked what I was eating and we felt that it was best to up my calories and then see what happened. We did that and my weight loss started up almost immediately. I believe that my body was holding on for dear life to its fat stores when I wasn't eating enough. The most important thing is to listen to your body and try a few things out. Don't swing the pendulum drastically but try a few days of adding 200-300 calories a day and see how you do.
Ljp 157 Posted September 26, 2012 Just my opion but have you thought of rotating every few days your calorie intake, fat, carbs, & Protein instead of it maintaning close to the same daily? Just a thought.
