tmesley 4 Posted September 26, 2012 Yes I'm in Slidell You had the surgery already? If so how are you doing?
Socketpinch 15 Posted September 27, 2012 I had it done Thursday. Friday after surgery I vomited and dry heaved all day but that is the only thing that has really happened. I'm fine on full liquids now and taken Vitamins. Still think I'm hungry for food but it's just head hunger.

Socketpinch 15 Posted September 27, 2012 I do have the urge to eat when I see or smell food but that is just head hunger. It's only for 8 weeks that we are limited on food but it seems like forever but worth it. I can also feel if I take a big sip of liquid that's too big it going to and though my stomach. That's the way I know I need to take littler sips.
tmesley 4 Posted September 27, 2012 Are you prone to leaks long term or you stomach close back permantly?
PhatGurl80 26 Posted September 27, 2012 Hey there. I'm in New Orleans and had the surgery in Mexico a year ago. I had a very easy recovery as far as not having anything go awry with my healing. No leaks, no gall bladder issues. I did battle fatigue during the first month or so, but as you increase the calories, that tends to get better. I can count on 1 hand how many times I've actually vomitted from either eating too much or eathing something that just didn't agree with me. It probably took a good 5 or 6 months to learn how to judge the portion sizes of my meals and drinks. I've stuck with the advice of not drinking with my meals too. If ya'll want to get together one day and just talk, let me know! I'm up for it!
