I got tired of it too and just switched to G2 (gatoraide). The lemon-lime is the best so far. I freeze the bottles bcs I think it tastes better as a 'slushy.' What i do is freeze a half full bottle. Then i'll top the bottle with cold lemon-lime & shake & wait. In less than 5 minutes i've got a slushy mix.

I drink Decaf tea and g2.

I can't drink the sweeter stuff like crystal light.

There are a few Vitamin waters that are ok but check the ingredients, not all are 0 sugar.

I was a hard core diet cherry Pepsi drinker before the sleeve. Now I drink the diet snapple half and half with only 10 calories and only 1 carb.

Why is that when I drink a lot of plain Water, I get nauseous, but I can drink the same amount of G2, and I'm fine? I feel that drinking 2-32oz G2s per day is too many carbs, but I can hardly finish 2 bottles of water without getting nauseous. I'm not drinking them fast, so I don't get it.

QUESTION? Is it okay to add Peanut Butter and/or banana into Protein Shake for extra Protein during the 2 week liquid diet, as long as its liquified?

There is actual something called 'water nausea'. Do a search on here for it. Something to do w Water being heavier or something? I was sleeved 8/21 and just noticed this week that i am starting to tolerate water again. :-)

I was not able to drink Water because it made me nauseous... Water is still hard for me and I'm 2 months out... But I find that hot water w/ a packet of splenda is how I can get more water in.

Yes G2 has too many carbs. Powerade zero has less than 1g of carbs per 12oz serving. No sugar and no calories.

Vitamin Water zero & Sobe Life Water.

Both are 0 carb/calorie. And they are naturally sweetened. No artificial sweeteners.

Ok, I'll look it up. I've never heard of that. Thanks

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
