peekaboo 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I just got my band 3 weeks a go and I can eat solid foods with no problem! Have I failed already?
enndee 0 Posted September 27, 2006 Absolutely NOT!! You are probably in need of a fill/band adjustment. My doctor didn't put any fill in when he put the band in. Then he had me come back in about a month to get my first fill and start the process!! You've only just begun!!
labradoodle 0 Posted October 15, 2006 :help: I am 3.5 weeks post op surgery and can eat almost as much as before, although I do need to eat slowly or I get a golf ball syndrome in my chest. Painful. However I am trying to cut it down not easy. i see the dietician this week and I am hoping that I will be recommended for a fill asap before I put on even more weight. Kind of depressing For the first two weeks I was not even hungry and I thought that was great but my appetite has now returned with a vengence. However I remain positive that once I have had a fill my hunger should hopefully go. Here's to hoping!! I am just trying not to think about it. labradoodle :help:
leatha_g 4 Posted October 15, 2006 Like Jack, I wonder if you're meant to be eating solid foods at this stage of your recovery. But, the band isn't meant to stop you from eating solids, it's just meant to help you control your volume, in fact, once you've gone through your liquids and mushy stages, it's recommended that you only eat solids, beginning with Protein first, then veggies and anything else IF you still have room.
