seelessofme 63 Posted September 25, 2012 Tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post op and have noticed that when it's time for me to eat my meal, I can't. It's almost as if my stomach closes up. I have to eat a yogurt of some sort or something light as in creamy like pudding or cheese. Is this normal? Also I'm noticing less and less what intake. I don't mean to. Why is it that I'm starting to not eat or drink when early on, I was able to? Going to see doc next week Wed. but curious of these new findings.

aceves_soon 12 Posted September 27, 2012 from my experience, anything with a liquid consistency at that is warm, except for Water, goes down well steadily. i just put everything into the blender and make it liquid and heat it up lol
iegal 460 Posted September 27, 2012 Yes, eating was a chore at first. Had to force myself to eat and drink. If you don't force yourself, you will go into starvation mode and then...stall. Yikes. So be aware of what you MUST do and take care of your body. Hugs, things will get easier, promise.

I suppose this is what everyone used to say about not being hungry. However, if its soft and easy to swallow, I can do it for the most part. I guess I'm going to be making some Soup this weekend!
