sexysleever 93 Posted September 25, 2012 Since surgery I've had very dry skin and blurry vision.... Does surgery alter your eyesight?
Skittle 26 Posted September 25, 2012 The dry skin leads me to think it may be dehydration... But check with your surgeon to make sure it's not a medication.. If You haven't been getting enough fluids try to up your intake by like 8-16oz a day. I know it's hard, I still have major probs getting in all my water! Good luck to you and stay healthy!! LeaveItToSleever 80 Posted September 25, 2012 Call your doctor immediately. Blurred vision can be very serious.
isajck 229 Posted September 25, 2012 I am not dehydrated but now almost live in the lotion bottle. My skin just needs more moisture Vision wise, I suggest searching the forum for blurry vision, you'll see that others have posted about this very issue. 1 samsmom reacted to this
Chelle68 27 Posted September 25, 2012 I have the dry skin problem also. Maybe because low fat diet and dehydration combined.
samsmom 54 Posted September 25, 2012 I agree with isajck...search this site for blurry vision. I am one who suffers from it and have made several posts about my vision. When I asked my NUT about it, she never really gave me an explanation, just that it does happen to some people. My eyesight is def worse than before surgery....ugh! TinaMari 75 Posted September 25, 2012 I don't have blurry vision but my vision has definitely decreased since surgery. I can barely read street signs now. It's actually terrible and I don't like it.
Izuri 428 Posted September 26, 2012 You should definitely notify your doctor of this. While it could be something simple, it could also be something serious. At least that way you know and maybe they can get it fixed - I can imagine that it's frustrating. I did just a quick search online and found a ton of reasons - varying from Iron deficiency to increased estrogen.

plbutler 24 Posted October 7, 2012 My pre op nurse told me that my vision would be blurry and not to fret. The anti nausea meds that I take has this side effect. I am blurry up close but ok far away. I know my vision is good though because I saw my eye doc (he performed my LASIK) not too long before my surgery.
