It took me a long time to lose the Fluid and gas weight from being in the hospital. Never fear... the weight will come off with the calories you are eating! I am 2 1/2 weeks out and have not lost anything for 5 days. I think I am going to quit weighing myself so often so when I do step on the scale it is significant!! I was thinking once a week. I hope I can stick to that! :)

Please don't get discouraged...the weight will drop off. I have been a slow loser, but seriously still faster than anything else I've tried! Stay encouraged!

I lost around 14 pounds at the 1 week mark and hasn't lost since (it will be 2 weeks we'd). I'm not worried about it. Just think of what we did to our bodies. There is no way you won't lose. Just enjoy the experience and know the goal at the end of the day is restriction. Durin that process our bodies need to learn to adjust :)

This has happened to me too. It will be two week stall for me on Thursday. I wil be 3 weeks out. Now I did lose 23 Pds the first week so I was happy about that. But going 14 days with little food and no weight loss feels like before surgery. I pray this will change.

Me too. 3 weeks out yesterday and scale hasn't moved in a week. Kinda sucks but it will move we just have to wait it out. It's impossible NOT to lose when we're eating 700-800 calories!

That is a fear that I have. I am only 1 week post op and have lost 13lbs but I think a lot of that is just no food but hey I'm not complaining. I am just hoping that I continue to lose weight even if its only a couple pounds a week.

Thanks to all....I'm at day 8 with 9 lost by day 6 now nothing for last 2 days. Seems silly to even be concerned after 2 days. It's just the extreme urge to weigh myself like every hour. I agree that has to stop!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
