K mart has a van and choc one that is pretty good, also at CVS theirs are good. Check out Bariatric choice--fusion-Diet Direct- and Nashua Nutrition.< /p>

There are so many products out their and many will sell single packs for you

to sample. Also I like muscle milk (best price Walmart) and EAS high Protein shakes--especially good if COLD. Good luck, it will all work out. I am 7 days out of surgery and down 10 lbs.

I've been trying a bunch in preparation. I really like the Pure Protien shakes, 35g Protein, low fat/carbs.

They have several flavors. I purchased on Amazon, but you can get at GNC also. Good luck!

GNC Total Lean pre-made vanilla and strawberry are ok enough. I can't stand the EAS shakes that someone else loves because they are really whey-tasting. The GNC Total Lean ones aren't. If you go to GNC, you can buy it, try it, and return it if you don't like it. I also do not suggest buying that club card until you are sure you will continue with those shakes, because if you go to return it, you won't get your $15.00 back that you'd have spent on the gold card. Not worth losing $15. You could always take them back and get the card and rebuy them if you really wanted to.

I think eventually any shake gets old. What I added to my vanilla premier shake was about Half a teaspoon of cinnamon and it made for a nice chane and I could drink it with out feeling like I gotta chug it down to get past my gag reflex!! So maybe try adding some spices to change up what u have?? And it hardly adds calories!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
