amw157 42 Posted September 24, 2012 I say don't overthink it, and you will be fine. Mine actually came out on its own after 3 weeks (the sutures ripped). And I didn't even feel it. So as long as you don't psych yourself out, you won't even notice it.
Justine13 264 Posted September 24, 2012 The reality is you have to get it out. Everyone has had different experiences. I have had 4 in my lifetime and each were different yet similar. Bottom line is: it's very very quick. It's a weird feeling. Can cause some pain but tolerabl- after all it's a matter of seconds. I'm the worlds biggest baby and this isn't one of those things I would worry about- really 1 Susie in Lima reacted to this
Peggylou 44 Posted September 24, 2012 I am curious about why you all had a drain? I didn't have one. I had 6 cuts on my belly and they glued the in scions closed and in the two two inch incisions I had a couple staples. What is the drain for?
doxieville 799 Posted September 24, 2012 I didn't have one either. My surgeon says he goes by what's needed. If the body is producing a lot of discharge, then he'll put one in. I'd suggest asking your surgeon what his policy is.
SoonToBeThinKAT 67 Posted September 24, 2012 So I had the drain tube removed and when she removed the stitch it did hurt some, more like a sting, but when she pulled that drainage tube out it felt so unnatural!!! Lol. She kept asking me if it tickled! Tickle is NOT the word I would have used. I'm just glad it's out bc I do feel better now. 1 Justine13 reacted to this
