Was sleeved on sept 20th. Spent two nights in hospital and was very nauseated on day two. I thought I was going to hurl up my new stomach! Anytime I drink, I burp and it's painful. I'm also very headachy. Hoping these feelings go away. Taking zofran and pain Meds about every 8 hours. It's very hard to get 64 oz of Fluid. Getting ready to take a walk. The omeprazole is definitely helping with the acid and nausea. Hang in there everybody! This has got to get better

I was sleeved on the 20th as well. I only spent 1 night in the hospital. I was feeling great and went home only to become very sick. I was throwing up bile and couldnt keep down my medicine or Water. I went back to the ER and they ran a whole bunch of tests and found that my stomach was spasaming so we took a few steps back and im not on ice chips and water only until Tuesday... then I can try other liquids if I feel up to it. They also put me on different pain meds and something for the nausea. I am feeling a bit better today but still buring like crazy. On a good note... my boyfriend said he can already tell weight loss in my face. WHOO HOO!

I wanted to go home after the first night! But I got so nauseated that my doctor insisted I stay. I'm glad I did. I'm home and sometimes I feel really good, but now I'm feeling so tired and very sick. Think I my head back to bed for a while.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
