scorpion509 107 Posted September 23, 2012 I am start my 3rd week post op and for the couples of days I notice that when i play with my kids on the floor and after I stand up I have lightheaded. I need to hold for something and wait a min for it goes away. Is this normal? I never had that before. I will probably ask my doctor on Monday about this but any explanation? TennisGirl 8 Posted September 23, 2012 Could be low blood pressure....
scorpion509 107 Posted September 23, 2012 About the Water I only can drink 3-4 glasses per day , I CANNOT handle 8 glasses. About blood pressure this is my thought as well. I have low blood pressure but I always drink coffee and it became normal. Now I cannot drink coffee so I think it is low. I need to find the monitor for blood pressure at home somewhere. NicholePerlatti 7 Posted September 23, 2012 I have the same problem but I do get all of my fluids in each day. I am going to be talking to my dr about it at my next appointment.
whitsmom08 17 Posted September 23, 2012 I was doing this. My electrolytes were getting out of wake. Drink some Gatorade 2 or the Powerade no sugar. It helped me!
CrisB83 47 Posted September 23, 2012 I am 9 months out and I still have issues with getting light-headed sometimes. Some days are worse than others. Exercising makes a world of difference. If I go on at least 2 10-minute walks a day I feel much better and my body handles food better too.
scorpion509 107 Posted September 23, 2012 Thank you for all your response. I will try to drink Gatorade 2 has it at home. I was walking 2.5 laps yesterday in the park in the evening. I notice that eating and sleeping is better after the walk but I always think because of the fresh air
Mensch 150 Posted September 23, 2012 I had the same exact thing. It was my blood pressure. I was on 2 medications prior to surgery, but my doctor took me off of one at 3.5 weeks post op. I monitor it several times daily.
