Right before surgery it is super scary - I was terrified. And my surgery was not without some complications but even with those issues It is hands down the best thing I have ever done for myself - ever.

Almost everyone is nervous before surgery. I know I was but it was about be laying out all this cash as I self paid for surgery here in US. Could I financially survive my decision to have a large portion of my stomach removed?

HECK YES> I am thrilled and no regrets.

Can I make a suggestion? Write down 10 reasons why you are getting this surgery done and seal it in an envelope just before surgery (read morning of surgery to remind yourself) Then when things get tough, and this road is not always perfect, you can then reread why you did this.

Good luck! You've made it this far. iegal made a good suggestion. Write down why you wanted this surgery. Look at it later to remind yourself. I am 2 days post-op. I do not regret it at all.

Will keep you in my thoughts. Hang in there. One day at a time. Sometimes it's one moment at a time.
