Cat D 12 Posted September 22, 2012 I am having my surgery next week. One of the things I can eat on the "liquid" diet is chicken broth. I am NOT a cook, I am so stupid when it comes to cooking. I bought Chicken Cooking Stock. Is that the same thing?? 1 KristinaAshley reacted to this

SleeveShelly 75 Posted September 22, 2012 Sometimes you can also have beef. It's a little tastier. 1 KristinaAshley reacted to this
Pinky Green 260 Posted September 22, 2012 I noticed that you really have to watch the sodium, even on so-called Low Sodium broth. I bough some Kroger Low Sodium broth and it was 580 mg of sodium. I bought some chicken stock at costco that didn't say low sodium but it was only 400mg. 1 KristinaAshley reacted to this

I just buy the low sodium ones. 1 JenC reacted to this
Mr_Worm 129 Posted September 22, 2012 Here is the secret for the chicken both stage. Take a can of campbells chicken noodle Soup and strain out the noodles and meat. You get a full flavored ready to go broth that way
