Are you on an acid reducer? Like Prilosec. I think it's unusual to feel hunger after just having surgery (I think you said you are just going home from the hospital). I've read a lot of folks suggesting that the "hunger" you are feeling at this point my be acid. Before you leave the hospital perhaps you could ask about one. Personally I didn't experience hunger until about week 6 and I think even now I feel hunger is in my head and a result of falling behind on my liquids. Good luck to you and congrats on your surgery! I got thru the liquid phase sipping alot of clear broths and with the dreaded clear Isopure (I like it). I think the Protein really staves off hunger.

I don't feel any hunger & I am 2.5 weeks out. What I do feel, that feels similar is bubbles of gas & the stomach trying to "wake up" still, from surgery.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
